Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Power BI Developer with over 5 years of hands-on experience in designing and implementing business intelligence solutions. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Power BI and data visualization, with a strong understanding of data modeling, DAX, Power Query, and enterprise-level BI solutions. You will work closely with stakeholders to transform raw data into meaningful insights that support business decision-making.

Roles and Responsibilities

Dashboard and Report Development:

  • Build visually compelling, interactive dashboards and reports in Power BI
  • Translate business needs into technical specifications

Data Modeling & ETL:

  • Create efficient data models using Power BI Desktop
  • Design and manage data transformations using Power Query and Dataflows

DAX & Query Optimization:

  • Write and optimize complex DAX expressions
  • Ensure performance efficiency in reports and measures

Power BI Service Management:

  • Publish reports to Power BI Service, manage workspaces and schedule data refreshes
  • Implement Row-Level Security (RLS) and role-based access

Stakeholder Collaboration:

  • Work closely with business users to gather requirements
  • Provide insights and recommendations based on analytical findings

Training and Documentation:

  • Create user guides and provide training to end-users
  • Maintain documentation for data models and process.

Requirements

1. Reporting & Metrics

  • Generate detailed and customization reports using Extent Reports, TestNG/JUnit reports.
  • Track automation coverage, test execution, and generate summaries.

2.Defect Tracking & Lifecycle Management

  • Log and track bugs efficiently using defect tracking systems.
  • Work closely with developers and product managers to triage, prioritize, and resolve issues.

3. Test Strategy & Execution

  • Contribute to test planning, test case design, execution tracking, and regression testing.
  • Drive test coverage and ensure minimal risk in releases by automating critical workflows.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

  • Technical Expertise:
    • Strong hands-on experience with Power BI, DAX, Power Query
    • Proficiency in SQL and data modeling
    • Knowledge of data warehousing and dimensional modeling concepts
    • Experience with Power BI Service and on-premises gateway configuration
    • Familiarity with Azure services(Azure SQL, Azure Data Factory) is a plus
    • Understanding of security models and best practices in Power BI
